TDR Billet Cylinder Heads :
TDR cylinder heads are 1 piece design that is CNC machined from 6061 T6 billet aluminum. TDR heads have been designed to concentrate the water flow down & around the exhaust port area. There is a divider that seperates the head cavity into 2 sections. Water enters the fromt section and then flows down and around the exhaust ports. This is the hottest area of the cylinder. Stock heads only flow water across the top of the cylinder cooling areas and use a siphon effect to circulate the water. The TDR head forces the full amount of water flow to the hottest points. In doing this the cylinder runs much cooler. Less heat results in more horsepower.
TDR heads are made in a 1 piece design to have a superior structual strength. There are no removable domes. Installing removable domes removes more material and allows more flex. More flex results in a possibility of blown head gaskets. The 1 piece design helps to eliminate this. The proper fix is to relocate all the studs in a perfect circle around the
cylinder bore with minimal space between studs and then make a special head to fit.
The stock stud locations are the critical downfall to high compression and high horsepower Banshee's blowing head gaskets. If you look at a dirt bike cylinder you will see evenly spaced studs about 1" apart completely around the cylinder wall. This even support will stand up to extreme pressures. Look closely and you will see the Banshee stud locations are uneven and widely spread. This is why there are so many head gasket problems in high compression and high horsepower motors. A 1 piece billet design helps to eliminate these head gasket issues.
